FRANK L. "BOOTS" IRLMEIER

Mass of the Christian burial for Frank L. "Boots" Irlmeier of Templeton will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday, May 6, 1994, at Sacred Heart Church in Templeton.

Mr. Irlmeier, 66, died Tuesday, May 3, 1994, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska.

The Rev. Gary Snyder will officiate the funeral Mass.

Casket bearers will be Larry Stangl, Jim Halbur, Jack Irlmeier, Randy Irlmeier, Ronald Irlmeier and Tom Vonnahme.

Honorary casket bearers will be Glenn Behrens, Jim Starman, Harry Behrens, Dan Weitl, Sylvester Irlbeck, Merlin Irlmeier, George Brinks, Vernice Sporrer, Dave Kerkhoff, Gary Rupiper, Tom Horbach, LeRoy Balk, Bob Bruch, and Gerald Irlbeck.

Lector will be Lavonne Eich. Eucharistic ministers will be Raymond and Marian Irlbeck. Gift bearers will be Scott Eischeid, Brian Meiners and Matt Hoffman. Mass servers will be Chad Irlbeck, Joe Irlbeck, and Aaron Irlbeck.

Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Templeton. Military honor guard will be provided by DeWitt-Loustaunau Legion Post 20 of Dedham.

Friends called after 2:30 this afternoon at Twit Funeral Home in Carroll, where a rosary was recited at 3 p.m. A vigil service will be held at 7:30 tonight followed by a rosary at 8:15 by the Knights of Columbus.

Born, April 2, 1928, in Templeton, he was a son of Frank X. and Agnes (Kemper) Irlmeier. He attended Sacred Heart School in Templeton.

Mr. Irlmeier served in the U.S. Army in 1951-53 during the Korean Conflict.

He and Mary Ann Irlbeck were married November 23, 1954, at Sacred Heart Church in Templeton with the Rev. William Buchholz as celebrant.

Mr. Irlmeier was a lifelong grain and livestock farmer. He was a Jacques Seed dealer and grew hybrid seed corn for the Garst and Thomas, Pioneer, and Renze seed companies.

He was a member of Sacred Heart Parish in Templeton and was past grand knight of the Templeton Knights of Columbus. He was a member of the DeWitt-Loustaunau Legion Post 20 of Dedham and played slowpitch softball for the Templeton Old-Timers.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann, of Templeton; eight daughters, Carol Strautman and her husband, Jim, of Carroll, JoAnn Meiners of Audubon, Donna Eischeid and her husband, Loren, of Bedford, Iowa, Debra Hansen and her husband, Kyle, of Templeton, Connie Hoffman and her husband, Dave, of Willey, Janice Andersen and her husband, Tim, of Audubon, Linda Croghan and her husband, Luke, of Manilla and Brenda Croghan and her husband, Paul, of Manning; three sons, Mark Irlmeier and his wife Jonelle, of Audubon, Bruce Irlmeier and his wife, Anissa, of Templeton and Thomas Irlmeier and his wife, Kim, of Manning; 24 grandchildren; a brother, Herb Irlmeier of Templeton: two sisters, Rita Stangl of Manning and Caroline Vonnahme and her husband, Clarence, of Arcadia; and his mother-in-law, Margaret Irlbeck of Carroll.

Mr. Irlmeier was preceded in death by his parents; an infant son, Kenneth; two brothers, Lawrence and Albert; and two sisters, Eleanor and Agnes Halbur.
