Mrs. Abbie May (Fritz) Bornhoft, daughter of Mrs. Anna Fritz, was born November 29, 1892, near Botna, Iowa. She was married to Walter Bornhoft of near Westside, Iowa, March 13, 1916, and died at her home near Westside Sunday December 15, 1918, at the age, of 26 years and 21 days of pneumonia following a two weeks illness of Influenza. She leaves to mourn her untimely death her husband, Walter Bornhoft and son Gilbert, her mother, Mrs. Anna Fritz, four brothers, Louie of Ramona, South Dakota, Martin, stationed at Camp Dodge, Fred and Jay of Manning, also her grandfather, uncles and aunts in and around Manning, and a host of friends. The deceased was a kind and loving wife, mother, daughter and sister, always ready and willing to help those in need. Her husband and son will sorely miss her in their home.

Burial took place at the Manning Cemetery, Tuesday.
