MRS. EMIL FUSS IS LAID TO REST

With sadness in our heart we are called upon to chronicle the death of a young wife and mother, Mrs. Emil Fuss. Barely started in the journey through life with her heart full of hopes and ambition to assist her life mate and husband in the establishment of a fine and comfortable home, rear a family and do her share in duties bestowed upon all of us in this world to make it a better place in which to live. Through the suffering and pain to bring another life into this world, she sacrificed her own life and leaves those so dear to her to mourn her departure to a better life.

Adelia Anna Alvina Suhr was born in Crawford County, Iowa, June 15, 1903, and died at her home south of Manning Friday, January 18, 1929, at the age of 25 years, 7 months and 3 days. She was united in marriage to Emil Fuss, December 6, 1922, to which union 2 children were born, of which the baby boy born Monday, January 14, passed away a few hours after its birth. Her death came very unexpectedly and the report came as a great shock to the entire community. The funeral services were held from the Lutheran Church Tuesday afternoon, January 22nd, conducted by the Reverend Johann M. Ansorge, her pastor. Interment was made at the Manning Cemetery where kind hands laid her to rest.

She leaves to mourn her untimely death her grief stricken husband Emil Fuss, one son Merlin, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Suhr, two brothers, Louie and Henry of Manning, her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Hans Karsten of Platte, South Dakota, her aunt, Mrs. Jac. Bruhn of Tilden, Nebraska, and another aunt, Mrs. Cornelius Cdefey of Platte, South Dakota, her parents-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Fuss of Manning, and a host of friends who extend the deepest sympathy to the bereaved family in their hour of sorrow.
