Adolph Frentz Of Summit Dies
Adolph Frentz, 85, Summit, died at a local hospital
Wednesday after being ill since Saturday. He had been a former
resident of Watertown for 27 years.
Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock in St. Martin's
Lutheran Church. The Rev. W.T. Meier, pastor of St. Martin's Lutheran Church,
will officiate and burial will be made in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
Mr. Frentz was born on January 18, 1857, in
Mecklenburg, Germany. He was married to Miss Albertina
David on January 6, 1886 at Blue Island, Illinois, and came to Watertown from
Iowa in 1910. He made his home here until the death of his wife in 1937 when he
moved to Summit to make his home with his two sons, Herman and Fred Frentz.
Survivors included: two sons, Herman Frentz, Summit; Fred Frentz, Lynd,
Minnesota; one daughter, Mrs. L.C. Werner, Watertown; 22 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
The body will remain at the Shaw-Messer Chapel until the time of the service.
He was preceded in death by his wife, two daughters, who died in infancy, five
sisters and six brothers.

Funeral services for Adolph Frentz, 85, who died at
Summit early Wednesday morning, were held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock in
St. Martin's Lutheran Church.
The Rev. W.T. Meier, pastor of St. Martin's Lutheran Church, officiated and
burial was made in Mount Hope Cemetery.
A group from St. Martin's choir, consisting of Mrs. Ray Kluck,
Miss Cora Taecker, Miss Ruth 'Button, Miss Lavonne Plont, Mrs. Charles Mahanke and
Mrs. LuVerne Draves, sang
"Sun of My Soul" and "Heaven is my Horne." They were
accompanied by Mrs. Edward A. Schwandt.
Pallbearers were: Paul David, Alfred David, Walter Klatt, William Fredrickson, Emil David and Robert David.
Relatives and friends from away included: Mr. and Mrs. Herman Frentz and family, Summit; Fred Frentz, Lynd, Minnesota; Fred David, Albert David, Emil David, Clarence David, Mrs. Julius Polzin and Paul Borkowski and daughter, all of Audubon, Iowa; Mr. and Mrs. Bert Borkowski, Lewisville, Minnesota; Miss Evelyn Frentz, Mrs. Clarence Fisher, Mrs. Roy Durhelm, all of St. James, Minnesota; and Gilbert and Victor Frentz, Gary.
