LITTLE ADOLPH DIES
June 12, 1913 Manning Monitor

Saturday afternoon after a baffling illness of 20 hours little Adolph Hansen died. He was 1 year 6 Months and 25 days old at the time of his death and the delight of his parents and grandparents.

Friday night he took sick by vomiting. Later in the night and Saturday he went into convulsions, each one growing stronger. Two physicians battled for the little life but could not stay the hand of death.

Burial took place Monday at the Iowa Township Cemetery. The funeral was held at the Catholic Church here, Father Heulhorst, of Dedham, preaching the funeral and speaking words of comfort to the bereaved relatives. The funeral service was well attended and very sad. Four little boys from Templeton acted as pallbearers. The little one will be missed by his parents and by his grandparents. He was just getting to the age when he was so much company to those he associated with. But the Ruler of men knows best and all must bow to His will. The sorrowing ones have the sympathy of many friends in their sad hour.

We wish to thank all those who were so kind to us during the sickness of our little son. Also those who assisted and comforted us at the death and burial. Being almost strangers here we doubly appreciate your kindnesses.
Mr. and Mrs. Fred Hansen.
