Albert Andresen
Albert, son of Nicolai and Catharina (Thomsen) Andresen, was born October 23, 1903, near Manning, in Ewoldt Township, Carroll County, Iowa. He was educated in the rural schools near his home.

On February 27, 1926, Albert was united in marriage with Grace Lohmeier. One son, Norman, was born to this union. Albert farmed north of Manning for 21 years, then he was employed at MJM Enterprises in Manning, retiring in 1970. Albert and Grace moved into Manning in 1954. Grace died in 1984; Albert continued to maintain his residence until moving to the Manning Plaza Nursing Home in May of 1995. He died there late Wednesday evening October 23, 1996, at the age of 93 years.

Besides his wife, Albert was preceded in death by his parents; by six sisters: Marie Frahm, Catherine Frahm, Anna Roggendorf, Martha Hansen, Elsie Lohmeier, and Hertha Hinners; and by one brother, John Andresen.

Survivors include his son, Norman Andresen, and his wife, Sandra, of Skokie, Illinois; two granddaughters: Tanya Andresen of Vernon Hills, Illinois; and Tara Andresen of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; a brother in-law, Ray Lohmeier, of Council Bluffs, Iowa; nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.

Albert was a member of the United Methodist Church.
