Albert Robert, son of Henry and Johanna (David) Borkowski, was born April 24, 1892, in Lincoln Township, Audubon County, Iowa. He attended the country schools near his home and was baptized and confirmed in Trinity Lutheran Church. He lived all of his life in the community of his birth and was united in marriage with Anna Bald on February 21, 1934, at Trinity Church.
Due to failing health he had to discontinue farming in 1965 and for the past 3 years has been in the Manning Plaza where he passed away in his sleep early on Monday morning, August 17, 1970, at the age of 78 years, 3 months, 13 days.
He was preceded in death by his parents, by three brothers, Bert, Paul, and Leo; by three half-brothers, Emil, Otto, and Henry by one half-sister, Mrs. Albert David.
He is survived by his wife, Anna, by six children Ruth, Mrs. Roko Kovaceric, Cochabamba, Bolivia; Kermit of Audubon, Alerd and Merlin of Manning; Lorrell at home and Irma, Denver, Colorado; by eleven grandchildren; by four sisters, Mrs. Anna Jurgens, Audubon, Mrs. Alma Meyer, Omaha, Mrs. Laura Delkie, Audubon, and Mrs. Lena Jurgens, Sibley; by one half-brother, Gus Borkowski, Audubon; as well as many other relatives and friends.
