ALBERT ANTON KLOCKE
Funeral services for Albert Anton Klocke were held Friday, March 14, 1986, at 1:30 p.m. at the Sacred Heart Church in Manning. Reverend Monsignor Dean Walker officiated the service with music provided by the Sacred Heart Choir. Interment was in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Manning, with Kevin Klocke, Keith Klocke, Kenneth Klocke, Randy Kauten, Ricky Kauten, and Rodney Kauten serving as casketbearers. Honorary casketbearers included Virgil Genzen, Delton Gruhn, Russell Mohr, Charlie Gruhn, Jerome Kasperbauer, and Leo Diers. Rosaries were held Thursday, March 13, 1986, at 4:00 and 7:30 p.m. at Ohde Funeral Home in Manning.

Albert, son of Anton and Lena (Sporrer) Klocke, was born March 17, 1912, at Templeton, Iowa. He attended Sacred Heart School in Templeton. On February 18, 1936, Albert was united in marriage with Alvina Grossman at St. Mary's Church in Willey. They farmed near Manning until moving into town in February of 1976. Alvina died on February 6, 1978. In 1982 Albert moved to Omaha to live with his daughter, Diane, and her family. He was a member of Sacred Heart Parish in Manning and more recently of St. Gerald's Parish, in Ralston, Nebraska.

Albert had been in failing health for the past two months but died unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 11, 1986, at Bergan Mercy Hospital, Omaha, Nebraska, at the age of 73 years, 11 months, and 22 days.

Besides his wife he was preceded in death by his parents; by two brothers: Raymond and Herbert Klocke; and by a brother-in-law, Herbert Eich.

Albert is survived by four children: Joleen and her husband, Milan Heath, of Salt Lake City, Utah; Larry Klocke and his wife, Linda, of Manning; Diane and her husband, Wayne Kauten, of Omaha; and Karen and her husband, Ray Cunningham, of Council Bluffs; by 13 grandchildren; by a sister, Marie Eich, of Mason City; by two sisters-in-law, Alma Klocke of Templeton, and Marcella Klocke of Templeton; and by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
