Dies In Local Hospital

Mrs. Albertina Frentz, 72, wife of Adolph Frentz, 208 Sixth avenue S. W., a resident of Codington County since 1910, died at a local hospital this morning after an illness of several months.

Funeral arrangements have not been completed and will be announced later. The body will be in state at the Shaw-Messer chapel until arrangements have been completed.

Mrs. Frentz was born at Pommern, Germany, June 2, 1866, and came to America when she was 18 years old, settling at Blue Island, Ill. She was married to Adolph Frentz at Blue Island on Jan. 6, 1886, and the couple lived at Blue Island until 1910 when they came to South Dakota and settled on a farm 12 miles west of the city. Later they retired and moved to Watertown.

Mrs. Frentz was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith in Germany and was a member of St. Martin's Lutheran church during her residence here.

Mrs. Frentz is survived by her widower, two sons, Fred Frentz of St. James, Minn., and Herman Frentz of Summit, one daughter, Mrs. L.C. Werner of Watertown, one sister, Mrs. John Elfring of Watertown, three brothers, Carl David of Manning, Ia., and Albert David of Audubon, Ia., 20 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
