Alfred Ehrichs retired farmer, buried Monday
Funeral services for Alfred Ehrichs, 78, retired farmer, were held on Monday, May 1, 1961, at 2:00 at Zion Lutheran Church in Manning with Rev George B. Eschenbacher officiating. Burial was in the Manning Cemetery. Nephews acted as pallbearers. The body was taken to the church at 12:30 on Monday from the Ohde Funeral Home.

Born September 16, 1882, in Iowa Township, Crawford County. Mr. Ehrichs farmed all his life until moving to Manning in 1942. On September 29, 1909, he married Clara Brus at Manning. She died in 1958.

Mr. Ehrichs died early Friday morning, April 28, at the Baptist Memorial Home in Harlan.

He is survived by a son, John, Manning; three grandchildren; four brothers: Emil, Denison; Louie and Frank, Aspinwall; Henry, Flandreau, South Dakota; and two sisters, Mrs. Margaret Brus, Manning; Mrs. Tena Tollgaard, Flandreau, South Dakota.

He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, six brothers and one sister.


Alfred Ehrichs is buried in the Manning City Cemetery.
