Alfred Hansen 52 victim of heart ailment June 26th

Alfred Hansen, farmer of Leroy Township, Audubon County, died Wednesday morning June 26, 1957, of a heart ailment at the Memorial Hospital in Audubon, where he was taken the previous day.

Mr. Hansen was born in Shelby County on June 23, 1905, and reached the age of 52 years and three days at the time of his death.

Son of Nick and Anna Hansen he spent his boyhood in the Irwin and Manilla vicinities. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Church of Lincoln Township, Audubon County.

On February 23, 1930, he was married to Lillie Hansen of Manning. They farmed near Irwin one year and spent the rest of their married life farming in Audubon County with the exception of one year spent in Cass County.

Mr. Hansen was preceded in death by his father in 1934, his twin brother, Albert, and an older brother and two sisters.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his mother, three brothers: Henry, John and Louie, all of Irwin, and three sisters, Mrs. Arlo (Mable) Norby of Manilla, Mrs. Albert (Alice) Albertsen of Storm Lake, and Mrs. Frank (Alma) Perry of Manilla, besides many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Friday from St John's Lutheran Church in Audubon, with the Rev. Leo Wehrspann officiating. Burial was in the Manning Cemetery. Pallbearers were Clarence David, Delmar Warren, Otto Frank, Donald Aikman, John Sortedahl, and Stanley Hansen.
