Conduct Last Rites For Mrs. George Lee

Once more the reaper appeared in our midst, and claimed the life of Mrs. Geo. Lee. She was still what is termed, in the best years of life, but having suffered for many years, no doubt death came to her as a welcome visitor, so that she might be relieved from her suffering. She was loved and respected by her husband, family and friends because of her sterling qualities and graceful womanhood. The entire community extends sincere sympathy to the mourning husband, mother and other relatives.

Alma Kuhl Lee was born on July 1st, 1892, in Crawford County, Iowa and passed away on Saturday, May 23, 1936, at the age of 43 years, 9 months and 22 days. She lived in the vicinity of Manning all of her life. She came with her parents to Manning when they retired from active farm life. She made herself useful and for many years was clerk in the Rober-Wehrmann Co. store.

On July 1st, 1921, she was united in marriage to Mr. George Lee. Since that time they have made their home in Manning where Mr. Lee has been constantly employed in business.

She leaves to mourn her untimely departure her bereaved husband, her aged mother, two sisters, Antonia Wiese and Bertha Wagner of Manning; one brother, John H. Kuhl of Montana, and many other relatives and friends.

Her father passed away on January 28, 1933.

Funeral services were held at the Ohde Funeral Home Tuesday afternoon, Rev. Harry Coates of Woodward, conducting. The remains were tenderly bedded in the Manning cemetery attended by a large concourse of friends.

As pallbearers acted: Wm. Kuhl, Louie Bohnsack, Emil Ehlers, Elmer Rowedder, Joe Steen and Harry Schade.

The Monitor joins in extending the deepest sympathy to the bereaved family.


Alma Lee is buried in the Manning City Cemetery.
