When Tomorrow Starts Without Me
When tomorrow starts without me, and I’m not there to see; if the sun should rise and find your eyes, all filled with tears for me; I wish so much you wouldn’t cry, the way you did today, while thinking of the many things we didn’t get to say.
I know how much you love me, as much as I love you, and each time you think of me, I know you’ll miss me too. But when tomorrow starts without me, please try to understand, that an Angel came and called my name, and took me by the hand, and said my place was ready, in heaven far above, and that I’d have to leave behind all those I dearly love.
But as I turned to walk away, a tear fell from my eye, for all my life, I’d always thought I didn’t want to die. I had so much to live for, so much yet to do, it seemed almost impossible that I was leaving you.
I thought of all the yesterdays, the good ones and the bad; I thought of all the love we shared, and all the fun we had.
If I could relive yesterday, just even for awhile, I’d say goodbye and kiss you and maybe see you smile. But then I finally realized that this could never be, for emptiness and memories would take the place of me.
And when I thought of worldly things I might miss come tomorrow, I thought of you, and when I did, my heart was filled with sorrow.
But when I walked through heaven’s gates, I felt so much at home, when God looked down and smiled at me, from His golden throne.
He said, “This is eternity, and all I’ve promised you. Today your life on earth is past, but here it starts anew. I promise no tomorrow, but today will always last, and since each day’s the same day, there’s no longing for the past.
You have been so faithful, so trusting and so true. Though there were times you did things, you knew you shouldn’t do. But you have been forgiven and now at last you’re free. So won’t you take My hand and share My life with me?”
So when tomorrow starts without me, don’t think we’re far apart, for every time you think of me, I’m right here, in your heart.

Aloha Hazel, daughter of Henry and Edna Grage Waterbury, was born November 8, 1937, in Manilla, Iowa. She grew up in Manilla with her eight siblings and graduated from Manilla High School in 1955. After graduation, she started her nurse’s training in Sioux City, Iowa, and completed her RN training at St. Anthony School of Nursing in Carroll, Iowa. Aloha was then hired at the Manning General Hospital.

On August 3, 1960, Aloha was united in marriage with Phillip M. Enenbach at Sacred Heart Church in Manning. Aloha and Phil had four children and raised their family in Manning. In the early 1970’s Aloha accepted the position of Director of Nursing at the Manning Plaza, where she remained employed until April of 2002. Aloha’s work was a natural extension of the person she was, caring for the residents just as she cared for those closest to her.

Aloha was a member of Sacred Heart Church and the auxiliaries of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion. She enjoyed baking, cooking and doing embroidery. Over the last eight months of her life, Aloha fought illness, but more importantly, enjoyed spending time with the most important people in her life - her family and friends.

On Monday, December 9, 2002, Aloha died at Manning Regional Healthcare Center in Manning, Iowa, and was lifted up to our Lord at the age of 65 years, 1 month and 1 day.

Aloha was preceded in death by her parents; husband Phillip Enenbach; granddaughter Laura May Enenbach and four brothers: Hans, Sonny, Bill and Jack Waterbury.

She is survived by four children: Michael Enenbach of Manning; Valerie Enenbach of Manning; Vincent Enenbach of Gilbert, AZ; Nicole Grimm of Carroll; grandsons Jeffrey and Joshua Enenbach and their mother Jill Enenbach; two sisters Helen and husband Bernie Higgins of Belle Plaine and Candace and husband Jurgen Stobbe of Manilla; two brothers Cliff Waterbury and wife Vicki of Manning and Bob Waterbury and wife Betty of Boone; many cherished nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, other relatives and wonderful friends.
