MRS. ALVINA EWOLDT
MANNING - Mrs. Alvina Ewoldt, 85, formerly of Manning and Manilla, died Sunday, Oct. 10, at the Crawford County Memorial Hospital at Denison.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Ohde Funeral Home, Manning, with the Rev. Donald Joens officiating.

Interment will be at the Nishnabotna Cemetery, near Manilla. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Ralph Hansohn, Dale and Dean Ewoldt, and Herman, William and Gerald Kohnekamp.

Providing the musical selections will be Mrs. Judy Joens, singer, and Bonita Hagedorn, organist.

Mrs. Ewoldt was born on June 10, 1891 to William and Margaret (Joens) Puck, in Audubon County. She attended rural Audubon County schools.

She was joined in marriage to Henry Ewoldt on Feb. 13, 1913. They farmed northwest of Manning.
They retired from farming, in 1962 and moved to Manilla where they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.

Mrs. Ewoldt was living with her daughter in Kiron for the past few years.

Surviving are a son, Albert, of Vail; three daughters, Mrs. Edward (Edna) Hester, of Buck Grove, Mrs. John (LuVerne) Kohnekamp, of Charter Oak, and Mrs. Walter (Aria) Hansohn, of Kiron; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; four brothers, Edward and William, both of Manning, Albert of Denison, and Adolph, of Manilla, and three sisters, Ella and Maggie Puck, both of Manning, and Mrs. Minnie Claussen, of Manning.

She was preceded in death by her husband, a son, Ralph, a grandson, Dennis Ewoldt, and four brothers and two sisters.
