Amelia Lebeck

Gone to her Rest.
Saturday morning, at her home west of town, occurred the sad death of Mrs. Amelia Lebeck. After several weary months of lingering sickness, the soul fled to its Maker and was freed from all earthly troubles of which it surely had more than its share. The funeral, officiated over by Rev. Krug, of Manilla, took place Monday at the Manning Cemetery. Deceased was born in Germany January 5, 1861 and later came to this country and was married to Bert Lebeck who died about four years ago leaving her to provide for seven children, which she has strived nobly to do. These children are left to mourn her loss. The youngest four have been taken by their uncle to his home at Walnut where they will be provided for and the elder three have found places in families in this vicinity. 'Tis sad to contemplate that these seven children are now left orphan, but let us trust that He "who doeth, all things well" will watch over them.

Note: there are no tombstone or city records for Amelia Lebeck in the Manning Cemetery.
