ANGIE LINDE

Services will be Saturday, March 14, at 1:30 p.m. at the Ohde Funeral Home in Manning for Angie Linde, 99, of Manning. She died Wednesday morning. March 11, at the Friendship Home in Audubon.

The Rev. Andrew J. Hofer of the First Presbyterian Church in Audubon will officiate. Music will be provided by Connie Siepker, organist, and Judy Joens, vocalist.

Burial will be at the Arcadia Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Chris Kirtley, Roger Schulz, John Linde, William Linde, Robert Linde, James Linde, Brownnie Polley and Nick Hansen.

Born Nov. 27, 1887, In Carroll County, she was a daughter of Henry and Janna (Freese) Auen. She was baptized in the Presbyterian faith and was educated in rural schools near her home.
On Feb. 16, 1910, she was married to William F. Linde. They made their home on farms in the Arcadia area and moved to the Botna area in the early 1920s.

Her husband died in 1926. She stayed on the farm near Botna until moving to Manning in 1958. She made her home with her daughter, Laura, in Audubon for about three years before moving to Friendship Home in 1984.

She is survived by her children Marvin Linde and his wife, Gladys of Manilla, Laura Schulz of Audubon, Elmer Linde and his wife, Catherine, of Harlan, and Arthur Linde and his wife, Docia, also of Harlan; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren: and two sisters, Nellie Grimsman of Carroll and Harmena Luchtel of Breda.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband; a son, Raymond; a grandson; Arthur: a son-in-law, Gerhard Schulz; three brothers, Ben, Ralph and Eilert Auen; and three sisters, Jennie Johnson, Annie Auen and Tollie Tebben.
