Her funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Trinity Lutheran Church, Manilla, with interment in Nishnabotna Cemetery. The Rev. Vernon D. Gundermann of Arcadia will officiate and nephews of Mrs. Brus will serve as pallbearers.

A daughter of Hans and Catherine Ehrichs Eggers, she was born March 28, 1879, at Clinton. She married Henry Brus on October 20, 1898, and they began farming in Iowa Township, Crawford County. After farming in South Dakota for four years, they returned to Iowa Township where they remained until moving to another farm in Nishnabotna Township in 1921. Mr. Brus died in 1955 and two years later Mrs. Brus moved into Denison.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two infant daughters, Elsie and Catherine, and one son, Melvin. She is survived by five sons: John, Henry, Edward, and Hugo, Denison; and Carl, Manning; one daughter, Mrs. William (Edna) Lohrmann, Denison; 17 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
