Rites Held for Mrs. Dammann
Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Dammann, 81, were held at Zion Lutheran Church in Manning at 2 p.m. Monday afternoon, April 20, with Pastor John M. Ansorge officiating.

Mrs. Dammann died at her home in South Manning Saturday morning, April 18, 1953, following a lengthy illness. She had recently undergone surgery at St. Anthony Hospital in Carroll.

She was born on March 3, 1872, in Gotzenburg, Holstein, Germany, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dethlef Biehl. She and her husband, who preceded her in death, farmed in this vicinity until 1933, when they moved to Manning.

She is survived by three sons, Emil, Eddie, and Ernie, all of Manning, and several grandchildren. A son, Julius, died several years ago.

ANNA DAMMANN

Anna Dammann Nee Biehl was born March 2, 1872 in Gotzenburg, Holstein, Germany. She emigrated to America with her parents in 1882. She married Claus (C.C.) Dammann on April 8, 1893. She died on April 18, 1953 and is buried in the Manning Cemetery.
Anna was preceded in death by her husband C.C. and son Julius, Parents Detlef and Anna Biehl; brother Henry Biehl and sisters - Margareta (Mrs. William Bock, Emma (Mrs. Christian Hollander) and Mary (Mrs. John L. Hansen).
She is survived by sons, Emil and his wife Helena, Ernest and his wife Maxine, Eddie and his wife Alviena, daughter in-law Ella Dammann - 7 grandchildren - Edna Rudnick and husband Reinhardt, Delores Jensen and husband Lyle, Viola Behrens and husband Harold, Arlo Dammann, Herbert Dammann, Donald Dammann and Shirley Watson. 5 great-grandchildren-Ronald and Diane Rudnick, Paul Jensen, Ruth and Mary Behrens.


Anna Dammann is buried in the Manning City Cemetery.
