Mrs. Anna Enenbach Laid to Rest January 23
Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Enenbach, 77, were held at
Sacred Heart Church in Manning Saturday morning at 9:00 o'clock with the Rev.
Gerald Zensen of Mt. Carmel officiating at the
funeral mass. Burial was in the Manning Catholic Cemetery. Henry E. Meyers,
Arthur Bock, Eugene Zerwas, Emil Kuhl, Herman Frahm, and Delmar Mundt acted as pallbearers.
Mrs. Enenbach died at her home on Wednesday morning, January 20, 1954, following a series of strokes. She had been ill for a year and a half. She spent six weeks in the Manning Hospital and was bedfast at her home for the past two weeks.
Anna Sophia Lorenzen was born on November 3, 1876, in Clinton County. She was married to Mark Enenbach on June 24, 1902, and the family moved to Manning in 1917, from Neola, where Mr. Enenbach was superintendent of schools. He died on February 24, 1944.
Mrs. Enenbach is survived by the following children: Mrs. Renald (Vivian) Hoffmann and Eileen Enenbach of Manning; Mrs. Raymond M. (Perdita) Bock of Omaha; Mrs. Vincent L. (Phyllas) Curl of Fort Campbell, Kentucky; Mark A. Enenbach of San Lorenzo, California; Henry J. Enenbach of St. Louis, Missouri, and William L. Enenbach of Omaha. All were here for the services. There are 13 grandchildren. She also leaves three brothers: Frank Lorenzen of Spencer, Theodore of Joplin, Missouri, and John of El Reno, Oklahoma.
She was preceded in death by her husband, father and mother, three brothers and one sister.
Mrs. Enenbach was a member of Sacred Heart church, Catholic daughters of America, Royal Neighbors, VFW auxiliary, and an honorary member of the Women's Relief Corps.
