MRS. ANNA FISCHER

Funeral rites for Mrs. Anna M. Fischer, 82, were held at 2 p.m. on Monday, January 22, 1968, at Zion Lutheran Church in Manning, with Pastor Edward F. Heinicke officiating, Organist, Dorothy Kusel. Burial was in Manning Cemetery with nephews as pallbearers.

Daughter of Ferdinand and Emma (Wiese) Jansen, she was born August 19, 1885, in Clinton County, and came to Manning in 1903. On December 9, 1908, she was married to Henry Fischer. They lived on a farm four miles south of Manning until 1945, when they moved into Manning. Mr. Fischer died November 25, 1963.

For four years, Mrs. Fischer lived with her daughter, Mrs. Elmer Schelldorf in Council Bluffs, and was a resident of the Manning Plaza for the past five months. She died there Saturday morning January 20.

She was preceded in death by her husband, a grandson, her parents, four brothers, and two sisters.

She is survived by three children: George and Ed Fischer, and Mrs. Elmer (Lucy) Schelldorf, Council Bluffs; four grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Laura Hargens, Manning, and Mrs. Emma Kasch, Council Bluffs.
