Arlyne A. Lueth

Funeral Services for Arlyne A. Lueth, 96, formerly of Bull Shoals, Arkansas, will be 11AM Tuesday November 13, 2012, at Christ by the Lake Lutheran Church in Bull Shoals, with Pastor Dave Mattson officiating. Visitation with the family will begin at 10 AM before the service at the church. Burial will be in Nishnabotna Cemetery in Manilla, Iowa. Arlyne passed away November 9, 2012, at Good Samaritan Society in Mountain Home, Arkansas.

Arlyne was born October 6, 1916, to Chris and Anna (Wiese) Hargens in Manning, Iowa. On January 22, 1941, she married LeRoy Lueth. Arlyne and LeRoy farmed near Manilla, Iowa, for many years where she was active in the community. She enjoyed large family gatherings, providing the homemade ice cream everyone waited for. She could always be found supporting her children and grandchildren's activities and loved spending time with her many nieces and nephews and great-grandchildren. She loved fishing, bowling, card playing, and Iowa football games. She never met a stranger and loved to talk and travel. Arlyne was a member of the Bull Shoals Biddies Red Hat Ladies and could often be found playing pinochle at the Meeting Place in Bull Shoals. She was a member of Christ by the Lake Lutheran Church.

Arlyne is survived by two daughters, Judy Hilliard (Dale) of Lakeview, Arkansas, and Bonnie Langendorfer of Amesbury, Massachusetts; two brothers, Bill Hargens of Perry, Iowa and Virtus Hargens of Le Mars, Iowa; two sisters, Lois Crane of Rock Rapids, Iowa, and LaVonne Culver of Sacramento, California; two grandchildren, Bret Langendorfer of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and Matt Hilliard (Dawn) of Swisher, Iowa; grand-son-in-law, Mike Mokricky of West Des Moines: four great-grandchildren, Anna & Mason Mokricky and Megan & Jake Hilliard and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, granddaughter, Susan Hilliard Mokricky, four brothers and one sister.

Memorials may be made to Good Samaritan Society or Christ by the Lake Lutheran Church.

A half-brother, Roy Hargens, was born to Chris Hargens and his 1st wife, unknown first name - maiden name Nulle.
Chris' 2nd wife was Anna Wiese and they were the parents of the other ten Hargens siblings.
