Arthur Brandenburg

Arthur Brandenburg, 69, died Thursday, February 4, 1960, at Minneapolis, his home for the last 11 years. The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, February 7, at the Ohde Funeral Home in Manning, where the remains had been brought Friday.

The Rev. Lester Moore of the Methodist Church will be in charge, with burial in the Iowa Township Cemetery, northeast of Aspinwall.

Mr. Brandenburg was born March 18, 1890, near DeWitt, the son of the late Dora Sanders and John Brandenburg. He was married in 1912 to Emma Winkel, at Charlotte, Iowa. She died in 1922.

He farmed in the Manning community until he left there 22 years ago. In Minneapolis, he was in construction work.

Surviving are four children: Norbert and Walter, Delmar, Mrs. Joseph Gegen (Irene), Des Moines; Mrs. Louella Hagedorn, Audubon; two sisters, Mrs. Charles Butler (Melinda), Council Bluffs; and Mrs. Frieda Andresen, Clinton; 14 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, one sister, and four brothers.
