Manning Native Buried June 26, 1954

Funeral services were held at Woolsey, South Dakota, June 26 for Arthur Langbehn, 68, who was found dead in the field of his farm near Wessington June 23, as a result of a tractor accident. It was not determined whether Mr. Langbehn suffered a heart attack or if he fell from the tractor.

Mr. Langbehn was born near Manning August 10, 1885, and died at the age of 68 years, 10 months and 13 days. He grew to manhood near Manning and was married here to Anna Marguerite Dammann December 4, 1907. The family lived on a farm near here until 1924 when they moved to the Wessington neighborhood.

Surviving are his widow, one son and six daughters. The son is Ralph Langbehn of Huron, South Dakota, and the daughters, Mrs. Irven (Mildred) Bolte of Huron, Mrs. A.L. (Alice) Newland of Huron, Mrs. Gerald (Helen) Huddleston of Wessington, Mrs. Albert (Dorothy) Menning of Wessington, Mrs. Edward (Mae) Williams of Wolsey, and Mrs. Robert (Marjorie) Garner of Wessington. A son, LeRoy, died in infancy.

There are also 16 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, two brothers and three sisters. He was a brother-in-law of George, Herman and Henry Dammann of Manning.

Killed In Tractor Mishap on Farm
Funeral services for Arthur Langbehn, former Manning resident, were held at Woolsey, S.D., on Saturday. Mr. Langbehn was killed in a tractor accident on his farm on Wednesday, June 23. He is survived by his wife, the former Anna Dammann of Manning; a son, and six daughters.

Manning relatives attending the rites were Mr. and Mrs. George Dammann, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Dammann and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Dammann, Mrs. Ida Dammann, Mrs. Dora Dammann, Walter Dammann, LeRoy Dammann and William Dammann, Jr.
