Death of Mrs. Kaiser.
Mrs. Chris Kaiser who has been sick for the last two weeks died last Saturday at her home
on south Center Street. She had been ailing for some time with Bright's Disease but had
not made much complaint and her death was very unexpected to all. Mrs. Kaiser has
resided in Manning about fifteen years and leaves many friends to mourn her loss. She
was a noble wife and mother and her death is a terrible shock to her husband and four
children she leaves behind. She was a member of the German Lutheran Church and to
know her was to be her faithful friend.
Augusta (Kroeger) Kaiser was born in Suederau, Holstein, Germany, May 1864 and came to America and settled at Aspinwall in 1884 and was married to Chris Kaiser November 19,1884 and after they had been residing at Aspinwall about five years they moved to Manning where they have since resided. She leaves a husband and four children to mourn her loss viz.: Salvina, Frankie, Elfrida and Milda. The funeral was held at the Lutheran church Sunday afternoon, Rev. Johann M. Ansorge officiating after which the remains were laid to rest in the Manning Cemetery followed by a large concourse of sorrowing relatives and friends.
This community extends to the bereaved its deepest sympathy in this, their saddest hour.
