OBITUARY OF MRS. CLARENCE DAVID

Beata Helena Dorthea David, the daughter of John and Emma (Wenzel) Schade, was born November 7, 1905, in Manning, Iowa, and died March 21, 1989, at the Manning Plaza in Manning, Iowa, at the age of 83 years, 4 months, and 14 days.

She was baptized November 26, 1905, at Zion Lutheran Church in Manning and confirmed in 1920 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lincoln Township, Audubon County, Iowa. She attended Audubon County rural schools and worked as a hired girl for several years.

On December 28, 1927, she was united in marriage to Clarence David at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lincoln Township. They farmed in Audubon County their entire married life until they retired into Audubon, Iowa, in January of 1967. She maintained her own home until she became a resident of the Manning Plaza on September 21, 1979. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Audubon.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her brother, John Schade; and her sister, Leona Starck.

Survivors include her husband, Clarence David of Audubon, Iowa; her children and their spouses: Ardith and Walter Lage of Manning, Iowa; Lyle and Colleen David and Carlene and John P. Deist all of Audubon, Iowa; her grandchildren: Lance and JoEllen Lage of Atlantic, Iowa; Brian Lage of Manning, Iowa; Joel and Jamie David of Glidden, Iowa; Matthew David of Audubon, Iowa; and Lana and Gary Jensen of Denison, Iowa; three great-grandchildren: Faye Ellen Lage, Jeremy David, and Nick Jensen; her brothers and their wives: Raymond and Phyllis Schade of Audubon, Iowa; and Merle and Donna Schade of Avon Park, Florida; three sisters: Laura Rudnick and Viola Reuwsaat, both of Audubon, Iowa; and Wilma and her husband Herbert Ullerich of Manning, Iowa; her brother-in-law, Fred Starck of Poplar Grove, Illinois; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
