Funeral services for Bertram John Eich, 74, will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, September 11, 1962, at Sacred Heart Church in Manning. The Rev. P.J. Nooney, pastor, will officiate. The rosary will be recited at 8:30 p.m. Monday at the Ohde Funeral Home.

Mr. Eich died Saturday evening, September 8, at the Holstein Nursing Home in Carroll, where he had been a resident two weeks.

He was born June 27, 1888, at Loretta, Illinois, son of Ellen and John Eich, and came to Carroll County in 1902. He was married January 15, 1913, to Mamie Popp, and they farmed northeast of Manning until they moved into town 17 years ago. He had been in failing health for the last years.

Survivors are his wife; three sons, Roger Eich of Templeton, Lyle of Paducah, Kentucky, and Allen Eich of Manning; a brother, Bill Eich of Templeton; a sister, Mrs. Rose Wimmer of Chicago, and nine grandchildren. His parents and a half-brother, Peter Trecker, preceded him in death.

Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Manning. Pallbearers will be Russell Popp, Art Hinners, Lester Eich, Lester Popp, Larry Popp, and Bernard Hollander.
