Beverly Sue Determann, 44

Beverly Sue Determann, 44, of Forest City, Iowa, passed away on Monday, June 5, 2006, at her home.

Funeral services were held on Friday, June 9, at the Trinity Presbyterian Church in Wall Lake, with burial in the Wall Lake Cemetery. The Farber & Otteman Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. Visitation was on Thursday, June 8, at the Farber & Otteman Funeral Home in Wall Lake.

Beverly was born on November 25, 1961, in Manning, Iowa, to Melvin and Darlene (Haack) Determann. She attended public schools and graduated from the Sac City High School in 1980. She worked as a nurse’s aide at area nursing homes and also at North Central in Forest City. The light of her life was her son, Justin and she loved taking care of him.

She enjoyed her nieces and nephews and they liked to go to Mason City shopping when Mom would come up to spend a few days. She was known and admired for her beautiful embroidery she did for family and friends. Many quilts were fashioned from those same embroidery blocks.

Survivors include her son, Justin Wolf at home; mother, Darlene Garrels of Wall Lake; two brothers, Mark Determann and wife, Joyce and Kenneth Determann and wife, Sue, both of Wall Lake; her nieces and nephews; and extended family members.

Bev was preceded in death by her father, Melvin in 1967; and stepfather, Lennis Garrels in 2000.
