Carl Knapp

Died, at the home of his son, C.G. Knapp, on Friday, June 12, 1891, Mr. Carl Knapp, aged 66 years, 11 months and 10 days. The deceased was born in Germany and came to this country about thirty-eight years ago and a couple of years thereafter was united in marriage with the wife who survives him. He served in the war of the Rebellion in a gallant manner. He had lived in this locality for a number of years. A couple of years ago he moved to Dakota, but his health failing him he returned a few months ago and has since lived with his son. Mr. Knapp was well thought of by all. He leaves a wife and five children to mourn his death. The funeral was held on Saturday under the auspices of McPherson Post, G.A.R., of which he was an honored member.
