Carl Arthur Kruse, 66, of Manning died Thursday morning, February 28, 1974, at Crawford County Memorial Hospital, Denison, where he had been a patient for two weeks. He had been in ill health for two years.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Zion Lutheran Church here, with the Pastor Edward F. Heinicke officiating. Nephews will be pallbearers. Burial will be in the Manning Cemetery. Friends may call at the Ohde Funeral Home in Manning after 9 a.m. Sunday.

Mr. Kruse, son of Charles and Annie (Schroeder) Kruse, was born June 30, 1907, in Ewoldt Township, Carroll County, and attended rural school. He married Amanda Jentzen, September 10, 1930, and they farmed north of Aspinwall for nine years before moving to their present farm south of Manning. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church.

Surviving with his wife are two sons. Arthur John of Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, and Willis H. of Bloomington, California; a daughter, Mrs. Keith (Darlene Ann) Anderson of Fort Dodge: 15 grandchildren; a brother, Harry Kruse; and a sister, Mrs. Marie Hagedorn of Manning.

A brother, Ed Kruse preceded him in death.
