Age 56, beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, and grandmother went peacefully in her sleep to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on November 26, 2007. Her father B.J. Chafin preceded Carla in death. She is survived by her husband:

Chafin; sister: Candy (Chafin) Wood and husband Jim; daughter: Ashley Michelle Joyner and husband Andy; son: Bryan Jason Bennett and wife Joanna; grandchildren: Annabel, Taylor, William, Bennett, Jason, Kyle, and Joshua; nephew: Troy Wood; niece: Jennifer (Wood) Wiggins, husband Mark and their daughter Liberty. Memorial service will be held at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 1302 W. Kiest Blvd., Dallas, TX. 75224, Friday, November 30, 2007, at 12:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Carla's memory to a favorite charity.

She is also survived by her in-laws Thomas and Ann Grau of Manning, Iowa; Sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Steve and Barb (Grau) Page, Dean Grau, all of Manning, Bob and Andrea Grau of Corning, Iowa, Nancy (Grau) Anheier of Kennesaw, Georgia, and Steve and Sheri Grau of Bondurant, Iowa, also twenty nieces and nephews and nineteen great-nieces and great-nephews.
