DEATH OF MRS. HAGEMANN
The chair of wife and mother is vacant in the home of Carl Hagemann. After many months of suffering Mrs. Cathrine Hagemann passed away on last Sunday, May 5, 1899, at 10:30 a.m.

She was a home woman and always found more pleasure in looking after the welfare of her family than in anything else earthly. She was a Christian woman, having been a devoted member of the Lutheran church from early life.

Cathrine Louisa Hagemann was born November 11, 1850, at Almena, Germany. January 4, 1879, she was married to Carl Hagemann, and of this union seven children were born. They are Mrs. Mamie Jansen of Kirkman, and Louisa, Sophia, Agusta, Dorthea, Adolph and Carl at home. The family has resided in this city since 1889.

The funeral was held Tuesday afternoon at two o'clock, Rev. Wm. Martens officiating, and the remains were interred in the cemetery to the south. The husband of the deceased is a member of the Modern Woodmen of America camp, and the members of that order preceded the remains to their final resting place.

Cathrine Louisa Hagemann is buried in the Manning City Cemetery.
