DEATH OF MRS. C.M. HARRIS.
Celphia Mary Rogers was born at Cuppy's Grove, September 1, 1871, united with the Baptist Church at that place March 30, 1888. She continued to be a member of such church until 1891, when she took her church letter to the Baptist church of Council Bluffs, having made that her home.

In 1898 she was married to Mr. C.M. Harris of Omaha. The young couple made their home in Omaha, and lived happily together. About a month ago she was taken sick and was removed from her home to Wiese Memorial hospital. After considerable suffering an operation was found necessary. She stood the operation well, but in a day or two began too grow weak, and died April 1. Her mother and sister reached Omaha before she died. Although a great sufferer, she was hopeful, and endeavored to cheer her husband and loved ones to the last.

She was 32 years 6 months old at the time of her death. She leaves surviving her, C.M. Harris of Omaha, Nebraska, her husband, Mr. and Mrs. L.N. Rogers, her father and mother, of Cuppy's Grove; five brothers, Douglas Rogers of Manning, W.J. Rogers of Chandler, Minnesota, E.L. Rogers of Early, J.W. Rogers and A.N. Rogers at home, two sisters, Mrs. G.M. Jepperson of Gilmore City, and Miss Esther at home.

The body was brought home for burial. After a short service at the home of her parents, the body was taken to the Baptist church at Bowman's Grove, where many friends joined the family in showing their respect for the remains which, after the service, were laid to rest in the beautiful little cemetery at that place.
