Charles Lamp, Manning, Dies After Illness
Charles Lamp, 41-year-old farmer, died at 7:30 last night, October 16, 1944, at the home of his brother, Herman Lamp. He passed away after an illness of only a day and a half.

Funeral services are to be at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon at the Ohde Funeral home, with the Rev. Arthur Raeside, minister of the Presbyterian church, officiating. Burial will be in the Manning Cemetery.

Mr. Lamp had farmed the past five years on a place across the road from the old home farm, where his brother, Herman, now lives.

He was born January 19, 1903, near Manning, the youngest son of Joachim and Agnes (Wiese) Lamp. His father died March 19, 1933, and his mother, March 27, 1944.

Mr. Lamp, who was married, leaves seven brothers and one sister: Marvin, Frank, Vertus, Herman, Gerhart, and Hubert Lamp, and Mrs. Henry Voge (Jessie), all living near Manning, and Edward Lamp of Denison.
