MRS. H. D. HEESCH WAS CLAIMED BY DEATH YESTERDAY

Demise Due To A Cerebral Hemorrhage
Funeral Will be Held Friday Afternoon, Conducted by Rev. George E. Bahr

The death of Mrs. H. D. Heesch occurred in this city yesterday morning at 3:45 o'clock at her home, 619 South Helen street. She had been seriously ill for about ten days and death was due to a cerebral hemorrhage.

Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock from the home, and 2:00 o'clock from the Presbyterian church, Rev. Geo. E. Bahr of the Evangelical church conducting the services. The remains will be interred in Woodlawn cemetery.

Christina Sievers was born January 27, 1866 at Bunsch (should read Bunsoh), Albersdorf, Germany and came to this country when she was 22 years of age. She settled with her parents at Manning, Iowa, and there on November 8, 1890, she was united in marriage to Henry D. Heesch, who survives her. They resided on a farm near Manning, Iowa for 21 years, moving to Pipestone county in 1913. In 1923 they moved to this city, and have resided since at South Helen street.

Mrs. Heesch was the mother of eight children, who, with her husband, survive. They were all present at her bedside when she passed away. The are: Mrs. Chris Frerk, of Slayton; Mrs. John Schrum of Manning, Iowa; Mrs. Kenneth Reese, of Sioux Falls; and John, Herman, William, Emil, and Mrs. R. Schaap, of Pipestone. Mrs. Heesch is also survived by two sisters and one brother, Mrs. Jasper Schroeder of Manning, Iowa; Herman Sievers, of Laurel Nebraska; and a sister in Germany; and by 15 grandchildren.

Deceased was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, and was also confirmed a member of the state church when she was 14 years of age. She was highly esteemed and her passing will be long mourned by a large circle of relatives and friends.


Note: It is possible the info about Christina Siever's parents coming with her to Manning is inaccurate. As far as is known her parents died in Germany.

Mother of Mrs. John Schrum Buried Friday

The death of Mrs. H. D. Heesch, well known resident of Pipestone, occurred at her home in this city about four o'clock Wednesday morning. Mrs. Heesch was taken ill about a week ago and her death was caused from cerebral hemorrhage and complications.

Funeral services were held at one-thirty o'clock Friday afternoon at the home on South Helen Street and at two o'clock at the Presbyterian Church, Rev. Geo. E. Bahr conducting the services. The burial was in Woodlawn cemetery, the following gentlemen acting as pallbearers: Wm. Lubke, Sr., A. Petschow, Gus Sindt, Peter Michel, John Huebner, and D. Paulsen.

Christina Sievers was born on January 27, 1866, at Bunsoh, Germany. She came to the United States in 1888 and located at Manning, Iowa. She was married on November 8, 1890, to H. D. Heesch, the wedding occurring at Manning.

Mr. and Mrs. Heesch moved to a farm southeast of Pipestone in 1913 and about eight years ago moved to this city and have since made their home here,

The late Mrs. Heesch is survived by her husband, four sons, John, Herman, William and Emil all of Pipestone county and four daughters, Mrs. Anna Frerk, Slayton; Mrs. Marie Schaap, Pipestone; Mrs. Emma Schrum, Manning, Ia., and Mrs. Irene Reese of Sioux Falls. One sister, Mrs. Jasper Schroeder of Manning and a brother, Herman Sievers of Laurel, Neb., also survive. One brother and one sister living in Germany also survive,

The deceased was a kind, loving wife and mother, whose interest was entirely centered in her home, and her death is deeply mourned by the bereaved family.
