SUDDEN DEATH POPULAR LADY

Bursting Blood Vessel In Head Is The Cause Of Miss Kreuetzfeld's Demise
Born September 3rd, 1896, in Hayes Township, and Died May 20th, 1923
West Side, Iowa, May 22.

The sudden death of Miss Clara Kruetzfeld last Sunday evening at 10:15 spread sorrow and gloom over this community. She enjoyed her usual health and was out motoring with her brother when about 8:30 she complained of a headache and asked to be taken home. She was rushed to her sister's home, Mrs. Detlef Wiese. A doctor was called and her parents notified. A blood vessel had burst in her head and she expired at 10:16. Miss Kruetzfeld was born September 3rd, 1896, in Hayes Township and was baptized and confirmed in St. John's Evangelical church of Westside. She attended schools of Hayes Township and lived with her parents until they retired from actual farm work and moved to Aspinwall in March 1921. After that time she worked at different places, spending time with relatives and others. She was a young lady of pleasing disposition and had a host of friends, all of whom deeply mourn her departure. She leaves her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Kruetzfeld of Aspinwall, her brothers, Emil C. and Henry, and her sisters, Mrs. Detlef Wiese and Mrs. Henry Gottsch, all of this vicinity. She reached the age of 26 years, 8 months and 17 days.

Funeral services will be held at her parental home in Aspinwall tomorrow (Thursday) at 1:30 p.m., Rev. Theo. A. Thomas of St. John's Evangelical Church of West Side will officiate. Interment will follow in Hayes Township Cemetery.
