CLARA LAMP

Funeral services were held Monday November 22 at 2 p.m. at the Ohde Funeral Home, Manning.
Rev. Joel Wright, Pastor of the First Presbyterian Church in Manning was in charge of the service.
Soloist was Mrs. Judy Joens and organist was Mrs. Bonita Hagedorn both of Manning.
Pallbearers were Elmer Foster, Arnold Koertze, Leonard Petersen, Wilbur Lamp, Gerhardt Voge, and Louie Boell.
Interment was in the Manning Cemetery.

Clara, daughter of William and Lillian (Brus) Jensen, was born May 26, 1897, at Schleswig, Iowa. She received her schooling in the Iowa and Nebraska schools.

She was united in marriage with Vertus Lamp on May 24, 1918, at Manning. This union was blessed with one daughter. They farmed south and southeast of Manning until 1949 when they retired to town. Vertus died December 16, 1968.

Clara lived in her own home until August 1, 1975, when she went to make her home with Mrs. Alvina Stribe of Manning, and on April of this year she entered the Manning General Hospital where she died in the long term care unit on Saturday evening, November 20, 1976, at the age of 79 years, 5 months, and 24 days.

Besides her husband she was preceded in death by her parents, and three sisters.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Florence and Lester Karsten of Manning, two grandchildren, Joyce of Omaha and Lyle of Cedar Rapids, by two brothers, Bill of Manning and Hubert of Clinton, and by two sisters, Mrs. Anna LaFrentz, Bloomfield, Nebraska, and Mrs. Gladys Dalton, Wausa, Nebraska, and by other relatives and friends.

Clara was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Manning.
