KLINDT SUICIDES.
For many years, until recently, there lived over in the country five miles west of this city, Claus Klindt, a prosperous and highly respected German farmer. He is dead now, having taken his own life one week ago tonight. This man was the owner of a fine farm upon which there was no encumbrance, he had many horses and cattle, he had moneys and credits, his family relations are said to have been the most pleasant, and what caused him to take his own life is a. mystery in the minds of his family, wife and four children. He accomplished his purpose by first taking a dose of poison and then piercing his heart with the blade of a pocketknife. His family did not miss him from the house until Saturday morning, when a search resulted in the finding of his body on the second floor of the barn. The funeral was held Sunday forenoon from the residence.
