OBITUARY
Conrad Emil Goettsch

Mr. Conrad Emil Goettsch was born in Germany, October 10, 1874. He came to Manning, Iowa, at the age of 6 years with his father and mother. His mother died in 1899, and in 1905 he moved with his father to Davenport, Iowa, where he has been making his home.

Sorrowing him are his father, Mr. Peter Goettsch of Davenport, one brother Adolph Goettsch of Davenport, and one sister, Mrs. Fred Wiese of Manning, Iowa.

After an illness of two days he died at Mercy Hospital, June 28, 1927, at the age of 53 years 8 months and 18 days.
The funeral services were held in the Halligan funeral parlors. Rev. L. Melton Hinkle pastor of the Grace Methodist conducted the funeral service.
Bernice Butenbach and Eleanor Freeland sang Beautiful Isle of Somewhere and What A Friend We Have in Jesus.
Interment was made in Fair Mount cemetery.
The pallbearers were Earl Kindred, Edward Goettsch, Dan Hudson, Edward Grau, Wm. Plagmann and Albert Littig.
