Cory Alan, son of Terry and Karen (Steffes) DeBoth, was born December 4, 1969, at Carroll, Iowa. He grew up in Manning and graduated from Manning High School in 1988. After high school, he enjoyed disc-jockeying local weddings. Cory then attended Denver Institute of Technology and became a draftsman. For the next 12 years, Cory made his home at Evergreen and Conifer, Colorado, where he worked in computer aided drafting. In 2005, he returned to the Manning area and continued to work as a draftsman. Cory was the draftsman for numerous building in the Denver and Council Bluffs areas.

On June 18, 2009, Cory was united in marriage with Robin Peak Grimm in Shelby County. The couple made their home near Manilla on an acreage that Cory was remodeling and where he enjoyed putzing around on his tractor.

Cory was an avid fan of the Denver Broncos and driver Denny Hamlin. He loved the mountains and his dog Rio. He thoroughly enjoyed cooking and playing canasta with his wife and mom.

In January of 2009, Cory was diagnosed with cancer from which he died on Saturday, June 26, 2010, at Rochester Methodist Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota. He was 40 years of age.
