Dale Glenn Borkowski, the son of Alfred A. and Olive A. (Aikman) Borkowski, was born December 20, 1936, on the former Ochletree farm in Lincoln Township, Audubon County, Iowa, and died March 18, 1996, in Audubon, Iowa, at the age of 59 years, 2 months, and 28 days.

He was baptized at the Trinity Lutheran Church north of Audubon and confirmed at the St. John's Lutheran Church in Audubon. He attended rural schools near Gray and Ross and attended the Audubon Community High School. Dale then farmed for George Hansen southeast of Gray for several years then worked for Clarence Henriksen for many years.

In 1966 Dale moved to Omaha and was employed by the O'Keefe Elevator Company until 1976. He returned to Audubon and worked as a farmhand and owned and operated an over-the-road truck which he operated until he was forced to retire due to medical problems in 1990. Since that time he has worked for many people doing odd jobs.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and his brother Allan W. Borkowski.

Survivors include his brothers and sisters and their spouses: Elaine and William Witt of Omaha, Nebraska; Maurice and Luella Borkowski of Audubon; Lola and Allen Mohr of Arcadia, Wisconsin; Nancy and Earl Hollaway of Omaha; and Ila and Dan Gilbert of Ankeny, Iowa; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services will be conducted by Pastor Richard Burrack on Saturday, March 23, 1996, at 2:00 P.M. at the Kessler Funeral Home in Audubon, Iowa.

Interment will be in the Lincoln Township Cemetery in Audubon. The family will meet friends Friday evening at 6:30 at the Kessler Funeral Home in Audubon.
