DANIEL RICHARD BOOTH

Funeral services for Daniel Richard Booth, 79, a retired Arcadia farmer who died at 10:30 a.m. Monday, January 14, 1985, at St. Luke Hospital in Sioux City, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, January 17, at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll with the Rev. Perkins Patton, minister of the Arcadia Presbyterian Church, officiating.

Mrs. Diana Michaelis will be organist and Skip Raridon will sing.

Burial will be in the Arcadia Cemetery.

Active casketbearers will be Jeffrey Booth, Thomas Pope, Ben Erickson, Phillip Boyok, Tony Halsey, and John Raibikis. Honorary bearers will be Donald Bruggeman, John Vetter, Louis Meiers, Melvin Jons, Mike Sexton, and Fred Branning.

Friends may call at the Carroll Funeral Home after 1:30 p.m. Wednesday.

A prayer service will be conducted at the funeral home at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Mr. Booth is survived by his wife Goldie, Arcadia; a son Roland Booth and his wife Vera, Guthrie Center; two daughters: Mrs. Lyle (Marlene) Pell, Garden Grove, California, and Mrs. Harold (Frances) Rodman, Sioux City; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; a brother Leonard Booth, Arcadia, and two sisters: Mrs. Vincent "Dick" (Evelyn) Lawler, Wall Lake, and Mrs. Nina Boes, Breda.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Ethel and two brothers: Harold and Russell.

Mr. Booth was born February 26, 1905, near Arcadia, a son of John and Annina (Hargens) Booth. He attended rural school. On March 6, 1929, he was married to Goldie Molter at Manning.

He was a lifelong resident of the Arcadia area and farmed there for many years before retiring in 1965. He was a member of the Arcadia Presbyterian Church.
