Donna J. Cramer

Donna J. Cramer, 78, of Ames died Monday, September 17, 2007, at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, September 22, at Stevens Memorial Chapel in Ames.
Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery at Sac City.
Memorial contributions can be made to American Legion Post No. 37, 225 Main Street, Ames 50010.

A daughter of Peter and Vera (Lane) Cramer, she was born September 24, 1928, in Calhoun County, completed eighth grade at Sacred Heart School in Templeton, attended Manning High School and graduated from St. Angela Academy in Carroll in 1946.
She served in the Women's Air Corps from 1949 to 1951 during the Korean Conflict. She then moved to California and attended San Jose State College for two years.
She moved in 1964 to Cuiaba Mato Grosso, Brazil, where she was co-owner of a ranch. She moved back to California in 1971 and established an accounting business at Gilroy.
During the 1980s and early 1990s she was involved in the national Business and Professional Women organization, serving as peninsula district president in 1986-87 and administrative assistant to the California state president.

She moved to Ames in 1993 and became an accountant for Oakwood Road Church in Ames.

Miss Cramer is survived by a godson, Jimmy Lemos, of Gilroy.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
