Donna Hansen

Funeral services for Donna Hansen were held Saturday, May 29, 1993, at 10:30 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Manilla, Iowa. Reverend Anita Johnson officiated the service with Barbara Agan as organist and Kay Rutherford as vocalist. Interment was held in the Nishnabotna Cemetery, Manilla, Iowa, with Tom McDonald, Dennis Hansen, Doug Schroeder, Dan Lafrentz, Todd Ferry and Keith Rasmussen as casketbearers.

Donna, daughter of Fred and Florence Sander Jensen, was born September 14, 1925 near Manning, Iowa. She attended Manning schools and was graduated from Manning High School with the class of 1943.
After graduation Donna was employed at Manning Creamery Company and Hansen-Pande Company.
On August 11, 1950, Donna was united in marriage with Marlin Hansen at the First Presbyterian Church in Manning. They lived their entire married life in Manilla.

Due to a heart condition Donna was hospitalized at Bishop Clarkson Memorial Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska. She died there on Wednesday, May 26, 1993, at the age of 67 years, 8 months, and 12 days.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Arlene Sinow.

Survivors include her husband, Marlin, of Manilla; two sons: Randall Hansen and his wife, Nancy, of Nashville, Tennessee and Rory Hansen and his wife, Becky, of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; two daughters: Rhonda and her husband, Tom McDonald, of Pomeroy and Reesa and her husband, Dan Lafrentz, of Omaha, Nebraska; eight grandchildren: Ryan Hansen; Angie and Erin McDonald; Kristin, Courtney, and Matthew Lafrentz; and Paige and Brynn Hansen; the following brother and sisters: Glen Jensen and his wife, Lenora, of Manning; Joyce and her husband, Gerald Schroeder, of Manning; Ellen and her husband, Jack Rasmussen, of Manilla; Phyllis Campbell, of Minneapolis, Minnesota; and Janice and her husband Galen Ferry, of Schleswig; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
