Funeral services for Donna (Pahde) Kohnke were held Friday December 9, 1988, at Fairfax, Virginia. Burial was in Fairfax Memorial Park.

Donna died of cancer, Tuesday morning December 6. The daughter of Herman and Alma (Rohr) Pahde, she was born August 19, 1926, at Manning. She graduated from Manning High School in 1944 and received her degree in Home Economics at Iowa State College. September 3, 1950, she was married at Manning to Robert E. Kohnke of rural Lake City.

She taught Household Equipment in the Home. Ec. Department at Iowa State. Later she taught Home Economics at Our Lady of Grace School and in the public schools of Indianapolis, Indiana. In 1970 they moved to Virginia where she taught at Yorktown High School in Arlington. She spent her life being a homemaker and loving wife to her family.

Her parents preceded her in death. Survivors are her husband Robert Kohnke, formerly of Carroll; three children: David and wife Betsy of Waldorf, Maryland, Scott of Springfield, Virginia, and Kay of McLean, Virginia; a sister, Dorothy & brother-in-law, Don Struve of Fort Dodge, Iowa and a sister-in-law, Donna Kohnke, of Carroll and mother-in-law, Mary Kohnke of Lake City.
