Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock from Ohde Funeral Home for Mrs. Dora Grimm, 76. Dr. F.E. Hamlin of the First Presbyterian church was in charge. Music was by the Presbyterian quartet, Arthur Rix, Ray Pratt; Mrs. Albert Dietz and Mrs. Nick C. Schrum, accompanied by Mrs. H.W. Hagedorn.

Grandsons acted as pallbearers, namely, Robert Grimm, Wayne Schroeder, Don Mohr, Dale Jons, Freddie Podey and Douglas Burridge. Burial was in the Manning Cemetery.

Daughter, of Henry and Caroline Vinke, Mrs. Grimm was born May 2, 1880, in Hayes Township, Crawford County. She was married to Edward Grimm in 1900. The couple farmed for several years and for the past 46 years Mrs. Grimm had lived in Manning.

She died on June 30 at 10 a.m. at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ray Mohr, in Manning. She became ill at her own home in Manning February 22, and was taken to the home of her daughter on April 8. She had been bedfast for five weeks.

Mr. Grimm died on December 11, 1925, and Mrs. Grimm reared ten children alone. Three children died in infancy. Those who survive are Mrs. Herbert (Leona) Schroeder of Manning, Edwin of Manilla, Paul of Moline, Illinois, Melvin, Ernest and Clousie of Manning, Mrs. Ray (Dorothy) Mohr of Manning, George of Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, Mrs. John (Delores) Balukoff of Dedham, and Willis of Vinton.

She also leaves 20 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; a brother, Detlef Vinke of Manning; two sisters, Mrs. Charles Thiedeman of Manning and Mrs. Laura Welch of Omaha.

Five of her sons served overseas in World War II.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three children, four brothers and one sister. Lunch was served following the services by members of the Presbyterian Women's Organization.
