DOROTHEA GUTH
Funeral rites for Dorothea Christiana Guth, 93, of Aspinwall, were held at 2:00 on Monday, October 21 at the Ohde Funeral Home in Manning, with Pastor Edward F. Heinicke of Zion Lutheran Church officiating. Burial was in the Manning Cemetery, with Roy Georgius, Marvin Schultz, Jack Lorenzen, Edward Kruse, Alan Lorenzen and John Schilling as casketbearers.

Daughter of Jacob and Marie (Petersen) Wieck, she was born August 7, 1875, in Hattstedt, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. She came to the United States to Clinton County at the age of three, and later moved to Crawford County with her parents.

She was married on April 17, 1892, to Henry Guth, and has since lived on the same farm west of Aspinwall. Mr. Guth died in 1910.

Mrs. Guth entered the Eventide Home in Denison seven months ago, and died there Saturday morning, October 19.

She was preceded in death by her husband and the following children: Julius Guth, Mrs. Laura McCann, Mrs. Alma Ewoldt and Mrs. Annie Eickelkamp.

She is survived by three sons and three daughters: Henry, Wilsall, Montana; Ray, Ida Grove; Albert, at home; Mrs. Joe (Alice) Lamp, Garner; Mrs. Carl (Florence) Wegner, Pierce, Idaho; Mrs. Oliver (Mabel) Ohde, Spokane, Washington; seventeen grandchildren, thirty-five great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
