Dorothy Marie (Hausman) Irlmeier, 95, of Santa Paula, California, died Sunday, September 15, 2013.

A memorial Mass was celebrated Tuesday, October 8, at St. Sebastian Church in Santa Paula. A memorial Mass will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, October 10, at Sacred Heart Church in Templeton, Iowa, followed by burial at the parish cemetery.

Dorothy was born July 24, 1918, in Halbur, Iowa, to Peter and Margaret (Potthoff) Hausman. Dorothy and her husband Leonard lived in Battle Creek, Michigan, Manning and Greenfield, Iowa, Santa Barbara and Santa Paula, California.

She is survived by daughter Margaret Wilson and grandson Jeffrey Wilson, Santa Paula, California; sisters Hilda (Cyril) Schulte, Sally Stickrod, both of Carroll, Norma Schmidt of Danville, Illinois; brother Andrew (Sally) Hausman of Phoenix, Arizona; sisters-in-law Esther Hausman of Carroll and Virginia Hausman of Battle Creek, Michigan; brothers-in-law Don McCormick of Churdan, Iowa, Merlin/Moxie Irlmeier; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Leonard Irlmeier; son Joey Irlmeier; brothers Eugene, Clarence and Arthur Hausman; sisters Mildred Grethen and Sylvia McCormick; and brothers-in-law Bill Stickrod, Ted Schmidt and Gene Grethen.

Dorothy Marie Hausman, 95, of Santa Paula, California, passed away on Sunday, September 15, 2013, in Santa Paula Hospital after a 2 year illness. She was born July 24, 1918, in Halbur, Iowa. Resident of Ventura County for the past 22 years. She was a devoted Mother/housewife for the past 55 years, also, very active in her Church St. Sebastian Catholic Church. She came to California in 1971, from Iowa and adjusted well. She also made many friends quick.

Mom loved to walk every day and she played cards every day with her friends and she was a great cook, and great mother. She was preceded in death by Leonard Irlmeier husband and loving father, brother's Art Hausman and Clarence sister's Sylvia and Millie and Millie's husband Gene. She is survived by her daughter Margret, and grandson Jeff, brother Andrew (Sally), Sister Hilda (Cyril), Norma and Sally, brother-in-law Don McCormick, Sister-in-law Ester Sister-in-law Virginia, and many Nieces and Nephews.
