Death of E.A. Liddle
E.A. Liddle died Wednesday morning of last week very suddenly at his home on east Third Street, apoplexy or heart failure is the immediate cause of death. He got up in the morning as, usual, and after eating his breakfast started to put on his overcoat. Mrs. Liddle started to assist him when he fell forward and was held up by her and assisted to a chair, but was never able to speak again, but for a time he seemed to know what was going on about him. Mr. Liddle was engaged in the implement business on south Main Street for a number of years but later years has conducted a wagon and repair shop. He has been a wagon maker for a number of years and was an excellent workman. E.A. Liddle was born at Langdale, Canada, September 19th 1836, and was married to Isabella Morris at Perth, Canada, March 21st, 1868, came to Denison, Crawford County, in 1869 and lived there nine years, from there they settled on a farm some ten miles northwest from here and about seven miles north of Vail where they remained live years and then moved to Manning February 14, 1884, where he has since resided. He was a good kind husband and a good neighbor.

The funeral took place from the residence at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon, Rev. McCurdy of the M.E. Church officiating. After which the remains were interred in the Manning Cemetery.
