Earl Lynn Barsby, 67, died in his sleep at his home here Saturday, March 1.
Funeral services will be held at 11a.m. Tuesday in the Manning Presbyterian Church, with burial in Manning Cemetery. The Rev. Robert Rushing will officiate. The Ohde Funeral Home is in Charge of arrangements.
Mr. Barsby was born March 27, 1901, on a farm south of Manning, a son of Frank and Lucy Mayberry Barsby. He attended rural school and graduated from Manning High School in 1921. In May, 1922, he was married to Enid Hayes of Manning. They lived on the family farm until moving into Manning in 1962. After moving here he drove a school bus for three years and was employed by the Manning - Manilla country club for 2 years. When Mr. Barsby was baptized into the Presbyterian Church he was part of a five - generation family group receiving the sacrament at the same time.
He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Charles (Mary) Owen of Lebanon, Mo.; a son Robert, of Manning; and five grandchildren.


Earl Barsby is buried in the Manning City Cemetery.
