EDSON M. KELLY DIES

Edson M. Kelly was born September 19th, 1838, in Demby, Rutland County, Vermont, and died in Manning, Iowa, August 18, 1913, aged 74 years, 10 months, and 29 days. He was married in 1860 to Anna E. Sherman. In 1867 he moved to DeKalb County, Illinois, where he lived about four years removing from there to Boone Iowa, and afterwards to Westside, Iowa. He lived here till 1887. Mr. Kelly moved from Westside to a farm near Manning where he lived until ten years ago, moving to Manning. Mr. Kelly leaves to mourn his death two brothers, Daniel of Genoa, Illinois; Griggs of Cuttingsville, Vermont; and one sister Adelia Southworth of Rosco, Montana. For the past three months he has been a patient sufferer of heart disease during which time he has made his home with his niece, Mrs. William Bobar of this city, where every care was given him but of no avail. Those from a distance who attended the funeral were a nephew, J.L. Kelly of Bartlett, Illinois, and Bert Sherman a brother-in-law from Anoka, Illinois.

The funeral will be held this afternoon at the M.E. Church.


Edson Kelly is buried in the Manning City Cemetery.
